Lotus Montessori Programs
The beauty of the Montessori method is that it strongly promotes a love of education at a young age. Children learn the value of self-discovery, creativity, and independence, preparing them for school and life. With us, your little one will grow to become more self-confident so that they can face challenges on their own.
Lotus Montessori offers childcare programs by age, from 6 weeks to school age. Each program features appropriate learning environments and resources that will nurture your child’s holistic growth. Each program varies in duration, with older groups usually having longer sessions.
We also offer long daycare services from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Here is a general outlook of the programs we provide at Lotus Montessori.
Pre-Kindy
As your child advances in the Montessori curriculum, they begin to learn with a more structured approach. The pre-kinder program prepares the learner for the challenges of school life. In this stage, they learn to select activities that fit their interest and complete tasks at their own pace.
Children aged 3 years to 4 years
The Pre-Kinder classroom is a step-up from the previous program and is a great precursor to the actual setting. At this stage, the child’s independence can spur them to perform Practical Life activities at will. They also have more liberty to choose which tasks to complete during the session.
This age is when your child understands the value of finishing the tasks they started and cleaning up after. For instance, they choose to perform food preparation such as pouring water and buttering their bread. Their next actions would be to pack away their utensils and wash their hands and face after eating. They can now make decisions without needing heavy supervision from the educator.
As the children hone their verbal skills, so do they become curious and ask more questions about topics that interest them. Our role is to facilitate discussions and promote a better understanding of the world and everything in it.
The Pre-Kinder program is an exciting time to introduce the fundamentals of academics. While the structure is still largely informal, the subjects are a much-needed preview of what’s to come in Kinder.
The prepared environment never fails to prioritize the value of outside play and exploration at this level. However, we also incorporate other areas of the Montessori Method including Language, Culture, and Practical Life. The child can enjoy storytelling and art sessions, as well as take naps and rest whenever needed.
Toddlers have a great amount of energy, giving them greater chances of achieving milestones. Our goal is to bring out their best while also teaching good conduct, which is necessary for their academic future.
