Mathematics
Mathematics is the study of numbers, and children can begin learning it as early as possible. This key area introduces abstract mathematical concepts via hands-on learning. From counting to identifying numbers to basic functions, children acquire a fundamental grasp of Mathematics in the Montessori method.
In this segment, your child learns abstract concepts using concrete materials and resources in the classroom. Dr. Montessori correlates the Practical Life and Sensorial lessons to arithmetic, particularly in introducing systematic processes to their learning experiences.
Math and Fun can coexist!
Rather than viewing Mathematics as a struggle, we want our children at Lotus Montessori to love and enjoy it. We curate interactive lessons that use concrete objects to introduce basic principles. Fun counting and matching numbers to decimals and everything in between, we shape your child’s early numerical understanding.
Our educators also target the abstract reasoning skills of our learners. We introduce concepts like number patterns, mathematical operations, multidimensional shapes, and other topics to develop their aptitude for Mathematics.
Based on the Montessori philosophy, children learn Math the right way—focusing on the process to arrive at the right answers. Only then they can truly appreciate what makes this curriculum the gem that it is!
